Global warming is unquestionable ; In this century there have been 15 of the 16 warmest years since 1880. There is a majority scientifically supported by these 195 signatory countries of the pact against climate change - linking the warming to human activity .
Specifically , the greenhouse gases that are emitted when fossil fuels are burned to generate energy , either to produce electricity or for transportation. The accumulation of these gases in the atmosphere is also at record levels and the earth cools at the same pace as before .
Countless scientific studies predicting catastrophic effects if it fails to curb global warming. The border has been 2 degrees Celsius. Paris 's commitment is to ensure that the increase in the average end of this century temperature does not exceed those 2 degrees above pre-industrial levels , and as far as possible even lower this limit to 1.5 degrees.
To achieve this need to limit emissions of greenhouse gases and the signatories of the Paris agreement will have to meet a CO2 reduction commitments which will be implemented from 2020 .
If the promises are fulfilled , if the international commitment that 195 countries closed in December last year in Paris , is serious , we should be to put an energy revolution that unquestionably affect the Architecture and Urban Planning .
Given that in the EU construction sector ( building + urbanization ) consumes 48% of the total energy and produces 46% of carbon emissions , it is clear that this objective directly affects how we design and we build buildings and as we plan new urban developments .
The goals that have been set in the EU to meet this goal are very ambitious : The 28 member countries have agreed to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases by 20 % by 2020 and at least 40% by 2030 compared to levels 1990. Long-term EU says emissions within their borders have fallen between 80% and 90% in 2050 .
It is primarily this lecture series :
It is intended to present this new strategy and analyze and describe examples of architecture and urbanism that have been designed and built in Europe in recent years as demonstrative examples of this green revolution is at hand and chasing the decarbonization of the built environment .

PROGRAM
Day 1:
- Introduction to sustainable architecture : Architecture in a climate of change
- Introduction to almost zero energy consumption : Theoretical bases and case studies .

Day 2:
- Introduction to passive house standard : Theoretical bases and case studies.
- Consumption buildings almost zero ( NZEB 'S) : case studies

Day 3:
- Sustainable Urban Development : Theoretical Bases and case studies .
- The new eco neighborhoods of European cities : Case Studies.

This would be our first international event , the first of many that we plan to develop besides specialized courses related to the issue of sustainability and climate change .
By the time we were able to get support from some institutions to carry out this project and hope to have many more in order to ensure the success of this and other events , which we consider of great importance , not only at local or national level , if not worldwide.
