1st Prize, Bolivia Architecture Biennial
Category: Interior Architecture

The solution is simple in its appearence but visually strong. It is conceibed under a light structure, very thin and dynamics. A barely inclined roof that promises to bring the sky inside the interior. Under this delicated roof a changing geometry is solved where the exposition takes place. Virtual and semi transparente panels, almost virtuals, explains the products and the process that Flamagas uses in the gas industry. The exterior publicity and advertising is shown as a totem made of gas cylinder bottles, recycled from the industrial plant, elements that are still in use in this city. Is a visual proposal that shows the main idea of the company: energy development and technology.

Parcel Area: 50.000 m²

This is a proposal for the National Competition City Hall Theater. The architectonic mass is organized in three containers. We worked on textures applied on the big concrete surfaces and small glass areas to provide the interior a more dramatic atmosphere. The amorphous box is inserted in the middle of a local urban park near the Piray river and its coastal avenue and surrounded by a forest. The entire building is elevated to generate space below it for the big parking areas needed. Also this elevation gives a grand staircase to stand out the public main entrance.

The indoor recreation is growing in our town, luckily we had the opportunity to design one of them. We adapted an old Factory, almost abandoned and near to be in ruins and transformed into this colorful and fun space. The inspiration were the Lights, curves, colors and fun of the games that will be shown inside the building.

Parcel Area: 21722 m²

Internal Building Area: 8794 m²

Circulation Area: 3927 m²

The Client, a foreign University from Chile gave us the demanding and complex program,. The land property is located near by the ecological area of the Piray river. For that reason we decided to orientate the main views to the Urubo forest and the river. The building is organized in two blocks, one for the classrooms and the other for administration offices and common services. They are both connected by bridges in different levels, so the linking between the two blocks will be fluent. A central square between the buildings that works as a unifier and separator at the same time gives to the complex the air and light that it needs.
